Institutions
Light Up Their Lives
Every project strengthens our belief in the Art for Healing Foundation’s mission. Bringing art into hospitals and other healthcare institutions lets its healing power truly shine. It doesn’t just inspire and soothe; for patients, their families and healthcare teams, it creates precious moments imbued with human warmth.

Empathic Collaboration
Collaboration is at the heart of the Foundation’s approach. It lies at the core of our projects. With your designated team, we take the time to fully understand your specific needs, the premises’ atmosphere and patients’ everyday lives. Together, we develop a vision that reflects your mission and enriches your environment.
We then act as exhibition curators. Always collaborating with you, we actively participate in the search for and the transportation, selection and installation of the artwork. For more than twenty years, we’ve worked with three words in mind: consistency, quality and professionalism.
As art collectors, we place great importance on every detail, whether it’s the works’ height, their order of presentation or the chosen lighting.
Sensitivity with Works
The CLSC Aupaluk-Qallisarvik project in Aupaluk, Nunavik is a wonderful example of our sensitivity in selecting works. To honour the Indigenous residents and staff, we exclusively chose artworks by Indigenous artists.
The Qallisarvik Local Community Health Centre in Aupaluk
Located in Nunavik in Quebec’s Far North, Aupaluk’s brand-new Qallisarvik Local Community Health Centre celebrates Indigenous art through the installation of fourteen works by Canadian First Nations and Inuit artists.
Beige Hallways Transformed into an Exhibition Space
Each work has a plaque with the artist’s name, its title, the technique used and the donor’s name.
This transforms hospitals’ and other health institutions’ corridors into true exhibition spaces, halfway between an art gallery and a museum.
In addition to adorning these spaces of healing, this approach honours artists and makes art accessible to the public. This not only contributes to the well-being of the people being cared for but also educates and moves everyone who visits or works in these spaces.
Fully aware of the issues associated with exhibiting artwork in public places, particularly in certain units, we put in place measures to ensure the security and preservation of the works on display.
How to Qualify for a Donation?
We invite any public institution or non-profit organization (NPO) to get in touch with us by email or phone. After this initial discussion, we’ll walk you through our entire process.
At the end of the project, your institution will own the artwork, which will be offered to you free of charge. You should expect some costs to cover expenses associated with transportation, framing (as necessary) and installation.
